APPLICATIONS
The resources pages are designed to let everyone know what applications that I use to do my design and development incase some wants to do something similar. As you can tell I really like the Dummies series of books, they read easy, teach you the fundamentals while not overwhelming you with details.
Here are all the applications that I utilize in my designs:
- Photoshop CS - I started out with a photoshop for dummmies book, then picked up the software, a little expensive but once you got it its yours! This is the application I use to create/manage all my graphics.
- Microsoft Frontpage
- I actually started out coding in HTML 4.0 using Notepad, I quickly found out Frontage quickened the process of putting together code and updating/uploading content. I would reccommend this if you are beginning with little experience.
- Dreamweaver - I have had the pleasure to work with Dreamweaver now for a few months and am taken back on functionality, usability, ease of use, compatibility, etc... This software is the best on the market hands down!
- FTP Explorer
- I have used this Shareware for many years, an easy to use and understand FTP client to upload/download your files from and to your web server.
These are pretty much all the applications you need to create graphically attractive HTML, PHP, or ASP websites. And dont forget to download Firefox for compatibility testing for cross browser functionality when designing websites.
